Smells Almost Like Fall

I've been really excited lately because on the occasional morning, I wake up and can literally smell "fall" in the air. It's hard to say what my favorite season is because I'm still trying to get used to having four distinguishable seasons, so every time the seasons change it's exciting.

The only season I'm not too fond of here is spring. Where are the flowers?! It may be that we only really have three seasons here in Boston because we seem to go straight from winter to summer, with the only flowers being those in the Boston Commons and Public Garden. I do miss the wildflowers of Texas springs.

But here and now, we are beginning to wake up to a nip in the air, a crisp scent that reminds us that the t-shirt days are numbered. Soon I'll be wearing sweaters to class and making apple cider in my new, large, kitchen.

Speaking of my kitchen, our campus apartment this year is great! It's a little dark because we don't have any overhead lighting, but we've invested in a lot of lamps and don't crash into each other in the hallway too often.

We're almost done with unpacking and getting settled. We still need a TV stand and to clear the last few boxes out, but September has been busy all around! I'll post photos of the whole apartment and describe my roommates pretty soon, but for now, here is a picture of our new huge kitchen!
