We decided to give canning a try as a strategy for preserving the rest of the apples until a later date.  The canning kit came Friday, so we got down to work making applesauce and apple butter. Apparently our town has an annual sheep shearing festival. For some reason, this did not click at first. I was picturing big burly men wrestling sheep to shear and not much else. In order to graduate, I had to take a creative arts class at some point, and Brandeis doesn't offer things I'm used to taking (like photography).
